At our company headquarters in Rio Tinto, we produce underwear for women, men and children using 100% solar energy.

We are committed to impeccable quality and maximum wearing comfort every day. Because nothing is closer to our skin than underwear.

In October 2022, we successfully passed the OEKO-TEX® STeP certificate audit. In the future we will be able to label some of our products with the“MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®” label.

Our operation in Portugal is BSCI certified. As part of an amfori BSCI certification, it is guaranteed that the supplier treats people and the environment responsibly during production. Amfori is the leading international business association for free and sustainable trade.

50 years

Jerisa – Empresa de Confecções, Lda. is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

2022

Extension of the solar system

In 2022, the solar plant was expanded with the aim of being able to cover at least 100% of the electricity supply on site with solar energy.

2017

Extension

Expansion of the warehouse and cutting in 2016/17. In 2017, the new Bullmer cutting machine was installed and put into operation.

2013

Solar system

In the spring of 2013, the solar system was installed and put into operation. In good years, the system generates up to 50% of Jerisa’s electricity consumption.

1990

New building

In 1990, the building was constructed in its current location.

1973

Year founded

Jerisa was founded in 1973 by Robert Sallmann. For 20 years, production took place in a garage in the city center.
